Who makes it, and what to know
Café is a brand of GE Appliances, which is owned by Haier and based in Louisville, Kentucky. It was a GE product line from 2007 and became a brand of its own in 2018, with its own store and its own warranty. The warranty is one year on the whole appliance, parts and labor. On Café's site it scores 3.7 out of 5 across 97 owner reviews, and 20 of those (21%) are one star. That is one in five. The one-star review we read describes a propane conversion missed at installation, which left soot on the cookware, and a slow response. Have a qualified gas installer confirm the fuel setup before first use. At 576 lb it needs a planned delivery, a gas line and a 240-volt circuit. You buy from Café's own store, so delivery, returns and the warranty are Café's.
