Who makes it, and what to know
Smeg is an Italian appliance maker based in Guastalla, near Reggio Emilia; Vittorio Bertazzoni founded it in 1948. Smeg USA's warranty is two full years, parts, labor and in-home service, then parts only for the sealed cooling system from the third through the fifth year. Smeg created the FAB range in 1997. At 77.5 inches it is a tall fridge: measure under any cabinet above it. The door hinges on the right and cannot be switched to the left. Smeg's US store states no level. Williams Sonoma sells it with room-of-choice white glove at a flat rate; AJ Madison delivers to the front door. 'SMEG does not offer installation services.'
