Who makes it, and what to know
Smeg is an Italian appliance maker based in Guastalla, near Reggio Emilia; Vittorio Bertazzoni founded it in 1948. Smeg USA's warranty is one full year from purchase, parts and labor. Smeg launched its small appliances in 2014. Smeg's page describes seven temperature levels, and its specification table lists six (120, 140, 160, 175, 190 and 212 °F). The display shows the temperature, and the beep can be switched off. The links on this page go to Smeg's own US store, so delivery, returns and the warranty are Smeg's.
