Who makes it, and what to know
Smeg is an Italian appliance maker based in Guastalla, near Reggio Emilia; Vittorio Bertazzoni founded it in 1948. Smeg USA's warranty is one full year from purchase, parts and labor. Smeg launched its small appliances in 2014. The body is die-cast aluminum. A port on the front takes Smeg's optional attachments, such as the pasta set and ice-cream maker, sold separately.
