Who makes it, and what to know
Smeg is an Italian appliance maker based in Guastalla, near Reggio Emilia; Vittorio Bertazzoni founded it in 1948. Smeg USA's warranty is one full year from purchase, parts and labor. Smeg launched its small appliances in 2014. The warming plate keeps the pot hot for 60 minutes, then switches off. The carafe is glass, not insulated. The links on this page go to Smeg's own US store, so delivery, returns and the warranty are Smeg's. Amazon mixes US and UK (220 V) listings of this machine. Check the model ends in US before you buy.
